Day 1 Vis Lazy Travel Guide 🏝️
We arrived in Split on Day 0 evening and rested. We booked all our accommodations through Booking.com 🏨. If you have other great suggestions, feel free to share! Note that check-in is usually after 14:00, so if you arrive around noon, you can start exploring in the afternoon—better value for your stay! 😊 On Day 1, the first thing we did was book a island-hopping boat tour for two days later 🚤. The booking stalls are along the palm-lined waterfront in the old town. The prices are generally the same—the main difference is the size of the boat. Larger boats are more stable and comfortable 😌. The itineraries are mostly similar. We booked at Stall 12—their boat is open (not sealed), so it’s well-ventilated 🌊. Stall 14 (run by an old man) is highly recommended ⭐—his boat departed on time, while ours was about 15 minutes late. If you have time, compare a few options! Once in Vis, we went island cycling (€15 for 3 hours—no deposit required, and they stored our luggage! 🚴) . Then we relaxed and swam at the beach 🏊. Vis is 4-6°C cooler than Split. The beaches are stunning with crystal-clear water and small fish 🐟, but they’re rocky—so bring aqua shoes (available at Decathlon) to avoid cuts. I got a few scratches! 😣 A cool thing—there are wild sea urchins everywhere 🦔! We didn’t bring tools and were afraid o f getting spined, so we didn’t try them, but they looked huge! If you’re prepared, you can give it a try! #Croatia #Vis #Split #TravelTips 🌍
