Day 12 in Sri Lanka: End of the southern route in Colombo

🍊Yesterday, I explored the northern part of Colombo. 🍓Which gives off a vibe of an old urban area. 🌽However, One Galle Face Mall is indeed quite luxurious. 🥔Today, I headed south. 🍞 In the morning, I took two buses, costing a total of 80 rupees, to Independence Square. 🍅Then, I went to the Colombo National Museum. 🍞The ticket for foreigners is 1200 rupees per person, but I didn't go in as it didn't seem to have much to offer. 🌽After that, I walked to Viharamahadevi Park → Gangaramaya Temple → Water Temple. Going further up, I reached Arpico Supercentre. 🥔It's said to be a large supermarket, but compared to supermarkets in other countries, it has neither many types of cooked food nor cold drinks. 🍅All prices are printed on the product packages, and bread and milk are not cheap either. 🥦Gangaramaya Temple is quite magnificent with gold decorations. 🥒You need to take off your shoes here, and the side view is very photogenic. 🌶A word of warning about the Water Temple: it's very small and costs 400 rupees, and the lake at the entrance smells extremely bad. 🥔There's a big mall opposite the Water Temple where you can use the restroom for free and take a stroll. 🥖Finally, I went to Sivasubramania Swami Kovil to take photos with the Lotus Tower in alignment, which wrapped up today's itinerary. 🍆In the evening, I'll just wander around somewhere and have some local specialties. #Travel#Trip#Guide#SriLanka#Colombo#SriLankaTravel#CulturalAttractions#AroundTheWorld#TravelGuide#CulturalSitesSharing
