Day Trip from Valencia to Teruel 🚆❄️✨
#CapturingTheMoment #ThisTemplateHitsDifferent The small towns around Valencia weren't cutting it anymore, so we took advantage of the May Day holiday for a one-day adventure to Teruel! 🚉 Travel Tips Train tickets: Normally €26 round-trip, but we snagged the Abono Media Distancia pass for €20 (unlimited trips between two destinations—though let’s be real, we’re probably not revisiting Teruel anytime soon 😆). Journey time: ~2.5 hours each way. The earliest train departs at 9:30 AM, arriving just in time for lunch. 🏰 Highlights Mudéjar architecture: Way more unique and explorable than Valencia’s nearby towns! Mausoleo de los Amantes (Lovers' Tomb): The star attraction—a museum (well, technically a tomb) dedicated to Teruel’s own Romeo & Juliet. A heartbreaking tale of love denied in life, united in death. 💔 🌦️ Weather Woes Despite being close to Valencia, Teruel felt like another planet! Watched the train’s temperature display plummet from 21°C to 11°C, and got treated to random sleet showers in the afternoon. Cue missing Valencia’s warmth… ❄️☔ Final Verdict: Teruel’s charm is undeniable—history, tragedy, and stunning architecture—but pack for all seasons! #Teruel #SpainTravel #MudejarMagic #DayTripDiaries
