Day Trip to Albany, the Southernmost Town in Western Australia š
Made a last-minute decision with my friends to drive to Albany for a day trip! The round trip was about 1,000 kmāgood thing weāre all experienced drivers and could take turns at the wheel. š Hereās a summary of the must-visit spots we hitāthough there were still so many beautiful places we didnāt have time for⦠We set off from Perth in the middle of the night, and our first stop in the morning was The Gap. The waves, the rocks, and the sound of the ocean crashing against the cliffsāit was a true visual feast! ššø Highly recommend going early to avoid the crowds and fully enjoy the views while taking photos. Next, we visited the Wind Farm. As someone from Gansu, Iāve seen rows of wind turbines standing in the Gobi Desertāand that was impressive too. But here, with mountains and the ocean, and the sky and sea both brilliantly blue, it looked just like a painting! šļøšØ Our third stop was Denmarkānot the country, but a peaceful and lovely Aussie town. š” We had lunch at a shop that has won many awards for its meat pies. Tasty, but maybe donāt set your expectations too high. š Then we headed to Elephant Rocks and Greens Pool, which are right next to each other. Itās a great spot for swimming, cliff jumping, flying drones, and more⦠Too bad we didnāt bring any gear for water activities! šāāļøš¤æ Last stop was the Valley of the Giants Treetop Walk. Entry was $21 per personāwhether itās fun or photogenic really depends on your taste. Personally, I think that $21 could buy some really good food instead. šš Finally, we drove back toward Perth with the sunset guiding us northwest. A perfect end to an epic day trip! š š #LifeDiaries #Perth #TravelAustralia #WesternAustralia #Australia #RoadTrip #My2024TravelStory #OceanVibes #AlbanyEats
