Deanie's Seafood

Hands down the best meal I’ve had during my time in New Orleans—highly recommend! 👍😋 We ordered the Seafood Platter and the Barbecue Shrimp. The platter included fried soft-shell crab, oysters, shrimp, fish, and crawfish balls—all fried to absolute perfection! 🦀🍤🐟 After days of eating fried food here, Deanie’s definitely does it best: the batter is thin and herby, crispy without being oily, and the inside stays juicy and tender. 🌿✨ The Barbecue Shrimp was a standout—rich, buttery, and packed with herb flavor that complemented the sweet shrimp perfectly. 🧈🍤 The freshly baked bread was crusty outside and soft inside—perfect for dipping into that amazing sauce! 🥖💫 When we left, there was a long line out the door—no surprise! An excellent restaurant—I’ll be back next time I’m in NOLA. 💖 Total for two (including tip): $120. Great value for the quality and portion size! Speaking of portions—they’re huge! We had to take leftovers home. 🍱 On another note… we also tried a Vietnamese place near our hotel (won’t name names 😅). Let’s just say the cooking wasn’t even at the level of a college student who knows their way around a kitchen. 🍚🚫 It felt like generic Americanized Asian food—total waste of a meal. Moral of the story: maybe stick to Cajun and Creole while in NOLA! 🥘 Have you been to Deanie’s? What’s your favorite seafood spot in New Orleans?
