Delicious Chinese & Western Restaurants in San Francisco 😋
Last weekend I visited SF and tried several spots—some were real gems! Here's my list in case you’re looking for holiday eats during Christmas 🎄 and New Year’s: Recommended ✅ 🍦 Philmore Creamery|1840 Fillmore St A small cup lets you choose 2–3 flavors + 2 free samples per person! Creamy texture, amazing chocolate ice cream sandwich, super friendly staff. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🌶️ OSHA Thai (Geary)|692 Geary St Went here after Mensho had a long wait—and was blown away! Complex flavors, now my favorite Thai spot in the Bay. The lamb chops are unique and the value is great. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🍜 Rice Roll Express|1131 Stockton St A popular Cantonese rice noodle roll spot. The line moves fast! Beef rice rolls were light on meat, but the black sesame paste is rich and silky, and the braised beef is tasty. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Just Okay 🤨 🍽️ The Progress|1525 Fillmore St Hard to book, interesting flavors (loved the perfectly cooked cod, duck was photogenic too), but overall didn’t quite meet the hype. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ 🥣 Hon’s Wun-Tun House|733 Washington St Good for congee and wonton noodles (add char siu or beef brisket). Forgot to take pics—looks like standard wonton mee 😅. Wontons had bits of shrimp shell affecting texture, and liver in congee wasn’t the freshest. ⭐⭐⭐✨ 🥐 b. patisserie|2821 California St Pretty French/Viennese pastries but on the sweeter side. My croissant wasn’t warmed as requested, which was a letdown. ⭐⭐⭐✨ #BayAreaLife #BayArea #BayAreaFood #BayAreaExplorer #BayAreaWeekend #BayAreaDesserts #BayAreaDining #BayAreaEats #100RestaurantsChallenge #SanFrancisco 🍴🌉📸
