Detailed Guide to Cold Spring Hiking for Leaf Peeping (2)š
Then I headed towards the mountain top, following the CN blue markers and then the BR white markers. At this point, I already felt like I wouldn't see any lakes š. On the way from 3 to 4, I asked the last person I saw, and that guy told me the view from the top was pretty good. Thanks to him š. After climbing for less than 20 minutes, I made it to the top. At the summit, you can overlook the Hudson River š. It took me about 2 hours to reach the top. I think it's doable for one person, but if you're carrying a dog or pushing a stroller, it would be really tough (unless you're exceptionally talented, of course š). I'd recommend bringing a pair of gloves, but I don't think trekking poles are necessary yet š. The descent took about 80 minutes. CN, UC, and WR are easier to climb than BR. If you want to reach the summit without retracing your steps, I suggest taking the route from Cā1ā4 and then returning via CN I did it in reverse today, but no matter what, the last section of repetition is unavoidable. The entire trip took about 3-4 hours. If you just want to see the river, you can simply visit Cold Spring Pier or Little Stony Point. The most painful part of the day came last. After coming down the mountain at four o'clock, every shop had a line, and when I got on the bus, there were no seats. I had to stand all the way back to Manhattan šš. At least I saved some money š¢. I spent a total of 8 dollars for the day (two scoops of ice cream). #NewYork #NYU #NYCWeekend ššæ
