š Dhaka Diary Day 1 | Arriving in Bangladesh š§š©
Just landed in Dhaka yesterday - sharing this stunning unfiltered airport photo šø that completely took my breath away! ā Visa Drama Unfolds Our first challenge came right at departure: the visa process! At the Chinese airport, we only prepared: ā Hotel confirmation ā Roundtrip flight tickets ā $51 visa fee We thought we were fully prepared after checking many guides - until the check-in counter. A rookie staffer told us: "No invitation letter = no boarding." We were stunned š±. Thankfully, an experienced colleague came to our rescue and clarified the situation. So grateful for helpful people along the way ā¤. š¬ Arrival Process in Dhaka Filled out visa forms on the plane (save time by doing this in advance!) Paid visa fee at airport counter Brief visa interview with just 3 questions: Purpose of visit? Duration of stay? Return date? Our unified answer: "We're tourists!" Then came photo-taking and waiting for stamping. Total time: ~2 hours (mostly queuing). Patience is key - Dhaka operates on its own rhythm š . We were lucky to meet kind souls at every step who guided us to payment windows and next procedures. Their warmth truly touched us ā¤. š Tips for Future Travelers: ā No invitation letter needed for tourist visa ā Must prepare: hotel/flight confirmations + visa fee ā Complete forms early to save time ā Most importantly: stay calm and flexible! š· More Bangladesh adventures coming soon!
