Dining and Solving Crimes: An Immersive Murder Mystery Play 🕵️
Last night, my boyfriend and I went to the newly popular immersive murder mystery play in New York, "Murder Mystery," held at the iconic Italian restaurant Carmine’s in Times Square. As soon as we entered the restaurant, the atmosphere was instantly set. The entire place felt like a trip back to the 1920s Prohibition era in New York. The waitstaff, who were also actors, served food while performing. I even saw someone at the next table dressed in full vintage movie-style attire—they really got into the spirit! ❌ The play started with a retro-style "newspaper," one for each guest, outlining the plot background: - The mob boss 🗿 is in crisis. - The reigning songstress 💃 is in the spotlight. - Alcohol smuggling and turf wars are rampant. During the meal, a murder occurred right beside us‼️ We had to observe the details around us, interact with the plot and other guests to find clues, and ultimately help solve the case. The performance ran throughout the entire evening. It was like dining while watching a play, and it was definitely worth it. There were also interactive segments where you might be suspected of being a suspect—it was incredibly immersive! The food was classic Italian cuisine from Carmine’s, served in large portions for family-style sharing. We had chicken parmigiana 🍗, shrimp 🍛, pasta 🍝, salad 🥗, and dessert 🍰—everything you could want. It was a night of eating, reasoning, and laughter. The atmosphere was relaxed, but the story had twists and suspense—it was super interesting! I recommend booking tickets in advance, as they usually sell out quickly. It’s perfect for friend gatherings or company team-building events. You don’t even need to speak English to have a great time—haha. #NYCFoodie #NYCExploration #NYCWorker #NYCLife #NYCTheater #TheMurderMysteryCo #MysteryCase #NYCShow #Theater #NYCScriptedMurder
