Dining with Night Views on the 33rd Floor – Totally Worth It!
We dined at a sky-high restaurant in Europe’s 2nd tallest building and soaked in London’s night scenery! Since my friend had been eager to see London’s night views ever since arriving, we headed to Hutong, located on the 33rd floor of The Shard. From the window seats, we could overlook the entire Tower Bridge and the River Thames – the view was breathtaking! Surprisingly, their current evening set menu is only £60 per person ‼️ We enjoyed 8 courses from start to finish, which was truly a great deal. The restaurant is also perfect for dates and anniversary celebrations – we even saw the neighboring table celebrating a birthday! It’s also an amazing spot for photos – every shot turns out stunning! 🥢 Spicy Wontons with Black Garlic & Chicken The black garlic had a rich, mellow flavor (not overpowering at all) and the dish wasn’t very spicy. The chicken filling was tender too – this was one of our favorites. 🥢 Mushroom Spring Rolls The outer skin was super crispy, and the filling was packed with mushrooms and onions. Even though it’s a vegetarian dish, it was surprisingly delicious! 🦆 Peking Duck (Surcharge Applied) We didn’t order a whole Peking Duck this time, but we saw the table next to us get it – it looked incredibly fragrant! The duck is air-dried for 24 hours before roasting, so it’s definitely worth a try if you go. 🍖 Beijing-Style Lamb Chops These lamb chops exceeded our expectations! They had very little gaminess, with a crispy, savory outer crust and juicy, tender meat inside – absolute perfection. 🍰 Dessert Hong Kong-style milk tea tiramisu! The server poured freshly brewed milk tea over the tiramisu right at our table, and both my friend and I loved it. 🍴 Hutong 📍 Level 33, 31 St Thomas St, London SE1 9RY #LondonLife #LondonFood #UKFood #AffordableLondonEats #LondonRestaurants #StudyAbroadInLondon #LondonTravel
