Discovering Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery ๐จโจ
Yesterday, I happened to pass by Victoria Square and noticed the Birmingham Museum & Art Gallery was hosting an exhibition called Victorian Radicals. I decided to step in on a whim โ and it turned out to be such a pleasant surprise! This was actually my first time visiting a museum or art gallery in Birmingham ๐. The exhibition showcases works from the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood and the Arts and Crafts Movement, featuring a fascinating range of pieces โ from paintings and jewelry ๐ผ๏ธ๐ฟ to metalwork, textiles, furniture, and ceramics ๐ช๐งต. (The official intro is in the last photo!) The exhibition space isnโt huge, but itโs thoughtfully curated. The museum also has a cafe and a gift shop (pic 13), perfect for a break or picking up a souvenir โ๐๏ธ. ๐ Opening Hours: Wednesday โ Sunday, 10:00 AM โ 5:00 PM ๐ Exhibition runs until January 5, 2025 ๐ Address: Birmingham, B3 3DH ๐๏ธ Tickets: Adults ยฃ11, Children under 15 ยฃ6 โ booking in advance is recommended. We saw a lot of people entering and simply followed the crowd โ and luckily, the staff at the entrance didnโt check our tickets, so we got to enjoy a โfreeโ tour! ๐๐คซ Whether you're an art lover or just curious, this exhibition is definitely worth a visit ๐งก๐. #UK #BirminghamMuseum #Birmingham #LifeInBirmingham #ArtExhibition #VictorianRadicals #PreRaphaelite #ArtsAndCrafts #MuseumDay ๐๏ธ๐๏ธ๐ธ
