DMV Restaurant | Ada’s on the River

Heading out for a good meal before the oncall duty starts. The restaurant is located in Alexandria’s Old Town. Although it’s called Ada’s on the River, it’s actually near the river, not on it. You have to sit outside to get the river view. Highly recommend the black bread as a starter, it’s very soft, and it comes with an orange-flavored butter, which is quite refreshing 🍞🧈 🥩 The steak is also recommended. You can see it being grilled over charcoal in the kitchen, which gives it a slightly different taste from the pan-fried version, with a stronger charcoal flavor on the outside. The rest is pretty average. The lobster mac&cheese has a good amount of lobster meat, but it’s a bit rich. The other two dishes were also a bit too oily, and the presentation wasn’t very aesthetically pleasing. The chocolate soufflé is made to order, and it takes over twenty minutes after ordering, but it was too sweet for my taste, so I didn’t like it. #dmv #dmvfood
