Don’t forget to savor a bowl of rich seafood rice! 🦞
🦞I never expected that my first meal in Lisbon would impress me so much that I just had to share it right away. 🦞When the seafood rice was served in an iron pot, the aroma of fresh seawater hit me. The broth was thick and rich, with the seafood flavor bursting in your mouth the moment you taste it. You could subtly taste the sweetness of carrot and celery, and as you continue, the intense seafood flavor would turn into a pleasant aftertaste, perfect for a sip of wine. 🦞The most important part of seafood rice is, of course, the seafood itself. Having grown up in Hong Kong, we are very particular about seafood, and the ingredients here were incredibly fresh with no fishy smell at all. Moreover, the portions were huge. We counted that for four people, we had a whole spider crab, over twenty clams, as well as white shrimp and mussels. The happiness level was off the charts. 🦞The Italian rice they used was cooked to perfection, not undercooked like some risottos, which would be to the liking of our parents’ generation. 🦞Uma, this restaurant, only offers seafood rice as its dish, with portions calculated per person. The bread and cheese served before the meal are charged separately. Since the portion of rice is quite substantial, you can ask them to remove it if you don’t need it. Tonight, we ordered the most expensive Douro white wine from the house, and the cost per person was still under 25 euros, which is less than what you’d pay for a brunch in London. 🦞In terms of the food, there’s really nothing to fault.
