Don’t leave Costa Rica without seeing San José from this restaurant 🌄
San José, the capital of Costa Rica — I’ve passed through several times, always in a hurry. Over time, my impression of the city slowly began to change. The city has incredibly clean streets, pleasantly cool weather, and genuinely kind people 🏙️🍃. Wandering through its roads and alleys without seeing the full picture, I always assumed San José was just a very small city. That was until a local friend recommended this restaurant and said, “You’re going to fall in love with San José.” I was excited — this friend truly loves life and is always exploring beautiful eateries. So, on my last trip, I made it a point to go. I called an Uber and set off 🚗💨. The ride from the old town took about 30 minutes, winding up a mountain road until we reached a residential area on the outskirts. Just as I started doubting if the driver had taken the wrong route, the car stopped in front of a restaurant draped in bougainvillea 🌸🤩. A bit skeptically, I stepped through the gate — and within just a few steps, the entire city unfolded before me. It took my breath away 😲💫. My thoughts in that moment: “Just beyond the mountain, another village appears; beyond darkness, there lies light.” “As if a spring wind swept in overnight, bringing blossoms to countless trees.” Is this really San José? It felt more like Bogotá — the magical city from García Márquez’s novels 🧡📖! The city was blooming in brilliance! Thank you, universe, for this boundless beauty — it was absolutely worth the journey 🌌🤍. I ordered food, enjoyed two drinks, and stayed until the stars came out… leaving only reluctantly. The restaurant: Mirador Tiquicia 🏞️🍷 Address: Bebedero, San Antonio, Costa Rica Don’t even ask how the food was — because that’s the least remarkable thing about this place 😉👌. #HiddenGems #Cityscapes #LifeAbroad #RestaurantDiscoveries #CostaRica #SanJosé #SpringBlossoms
