Downtown First Thursdays Is Partnering With Oakland Non-Profit Black Joy Parade For The Upcoming February Block Party
Downtown First Thursdays has been a popular monthly event in San Francisco, regularly drawing large crowds for a lively block party. The free parties include live music , often by major artists, dancing, local vendors, activities like karaoke, and more. For Februaryâs block party. Downtown First Thursdays has partnered with the Black Joy Parade, an Oakland-based non-profit that celebrates the Black community. The organization is known for its annual parade, scheduled for February 22nd in Oakland . The organization is presenting the headlining performer, Austin Millz. Millz is set to take the stage at 7:30 pm, with thousands expected to attend the block party on Thursday, February 5. > âNine years Oaklandâs Black Joy Parade has been around, but there are still so many people in San Francisco that have never been; never experienced the best day in the Bay! Iâm excited to finally get a chance to bring at least a small glimpse of Black Joy Paradeâs magic to the streets of San Francisco. The block party will also include a discoteca featuring reggaetĂłn music in honor of Bad Bunnyâs upcoming halftime performance. Plus, check out the Aux War: Gen Z vs. Millennial DJ Battle, or a pop-up fashion show while youâre at the free event. Just a short walk from the party, MoAD will have free admission, making it the perfect time to stop by the museum and explore its newest exhibition.
