Drago's Seafood | Is This NOLA’s Ultimate Char-Grilled Oysters? 🦪🔥
Last month, my family and I visited NOLA, and our first dinner was at the highly recommended original Drago’s. The char-grilled oysters and lobster pasta are the most talked-about dishes—both were tasty, but in my opinion, not exactly "the best ever." 😅 The flavors are rich and bold—impressive at first bite, but they get heavy after a while. Best to share with others! Prices are on the higher side, and portions aren’t huge. If you’re visiting NOLA, maybe explore other options too. My rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 📍 Drago's Seafood Restaurant – Metairie – The Original 3232 N Arnoult Rd, Metairie, LA 70002, United States 💵 Price: Around 40 – 60 per person 🈺 Hours: Monday – Sunday: 7:30 AM – 9 PM 🅿️ Parking: Free parking lot in front of the restaurant 🍽️ What We Ordered: ✨ Drago's Original Charbroiled Oysters – Flavor-packed and delicious! ✨ Mama Ruth's Seafood Gumbo – Not recommended 🙅♀️ ✨ Caesar Side Salad – Skip it ✨ Blackened Gator Tacos – Gator meat is chewier than chicken, with a spicy kick. Not as good as SoCal tacos though 🌮 ✨ Boudin Stuffed Shrimp – Pass ✨ Boneless Short Rib – Just okay, nothing special ✨ Lobster Marco – Tasty but not outstanding; poor value for the price ✨ Sautéed Crabmeat – Super not worth it 💸 Have you been to Drago’s? Do you agree it’s overhyped, or is it your go-to spot?
