Dublin | Perfect Birthday Spot with a Michelin 1️⃣🌟

📍 **D’ Olier Street Restaurant** 💶: €128 (13 courses) The price is on the higher side, but it's a special birthday treat for myself🥰 Had my birthday meal on Thursday, 27th February☺️ This place is hard to book on weekends, but there are still spots available on weekdays. The menu changes slightly every 8️⃣ weeks, but not drastically. The portions are quite large; by the time I reached the 7th or 8th course, I was already 80% full🥲 1️⃣: **Beef Carpaccio 🌟** This was quite refreshing. The Korean-style spicy sauce really tickled my taste buds. Even as someone who doesn't usually eat beef, I enjoyed it. 😋 2️⃣: **Cheese-Stuffed Pancake 🌟** So aromatic and delicious. 🫶🏻 3️⃣: **Squid 🌟🌟** Loved this appetizer‼️ It had the sweetness of daikon radish and a slight spiciness. Perfectly balanced. 😍 4️⃣: **Scone & Foie Gras Panna Cotta** I enjoyed the soft scones. The walnuts on top of the panna cotta were a nice touch. The foie gras panna cotta wasn't to our taste, though. 😅 5️⃣: **Shrimp Cake & Crab 🦀 🌟🌟🌟** One of my favorites. The salty flavors were very refreshing. The crab sauce had apples, which added a nice, crisp element. 😍 6️⃣: **Pumpkin 🎃 & Chive Cream Cheese 🌟🌟🌟** The pumpkin was made with oats. The outer layer had a slight saltiness. But who can resist this perfect combination?😭 My favorite.😭🫶🏻 7️⃣: **Sea Bass 🐟 🌟🌟🌟** Finally, a main course‼️ It was crispy, and I could taste a hint of spiciness. The waiter drizzled some sauce on it. 8️⃣: **Irish Wagyu Beef** This was a bit tricky for me to evaluate😭 I don't usually enjoy beef. Although the meat looked red, the wagyu was fully cooked. But I loved the black truffle mashed potatoes‼️ By this point, I was quite full. 😂 9️⃣: **Citrus Sorbet 🍊 🌟🌟🌟** Sour and sweet, just right. I felt like I could have more.😊 🔟: **Chocolate Dessert** It had gold leaf on top‼️ A scoop of ice cream and lemon balm. I didn't like the lemon balm🍋; it was a bit too sour for me. The chocolate dessert had a layer of jelly, which was quite nice, but not my favorite. 1️⃣1️⃣: **Honey Cake 🌟** Out of the last three desserts, this was my favorite. It came with walnuts, and it was delicious. 🫶🏻 1️⃣2️⃣: **Apple Tart 🍎** This was a bit subjective. I don't usually like desserts made with apples. It's a matter of personal taste. 😂 1️⃣3️⃣: **Black Truffle Chocolate** It was just ordinary chocolate, not my cup of tea.🥹 The waiter mentioned that if we were too full, we could actually take the last 3️⃣ desserts to go. But we were here for the full experience and presentation, so we finished all 13 courses on-site.🥹 The staff were very enthusiastic and introduced each dish before serving. Very attentive. It was indeed a great experience for a birthday celebration.🫶🏻 Overall, I thought the appetizers and main courses were excellent. The desserts could use a bit of improvement.😉 #IrishFoodRecommendation #IrishStoreExploration
