dump🌊An artsy Southern town

dump🌊An artsy Southern town📍Savannah Was scrolling through my and suddenly wanted to post photos from my trip to Savannah a while back—procrastination finally got to me! Funny enough, I almost left Atlanta without visiting this gem of a town nearby. So glad I didn’t miss it, or I’d definitely regret it! The entire town feels like it’s been steeped in art 🎨. The houses have macaron-colored walls, windowsills overflowing with flowers, and even the street lamps have a vintage design. Walking around, I half-expected to bump into a student with a sketchbook or a street band jamming on the corner—so laid-back and romantic~ 📸 Photo thoughts: Tybee Island beach 🌞 I’m obsessed with lying on the sand soaking up the sun, watching waves lap at my feet, letting the sunlight give me a healthy tan. Time just slows down here! The sea at dusk is even more amazing—pink-purple sunsets paint the sky like cotton candy, every casual shot looks like a wallpaper! Happy hour at a beachside restaurant 🦪 $1 oysters so fresh they burst with brine. Squeeze some lemon, pop one in, and wash it down with an ice-cold beer—pure joy! A local at the next table laughed and said “This is how you do the South right,” and he wasn’t wrong! A poet grandpa we met in the park ✍️ He said he writes poetry purely for love, and for nearly a decade, he’s come to the park every day. Whenever someone stops, he improvises a poem based on their looks or stories. We chatted a bit about our lives, and he wrote a short poem for us—full of gentle, everyday warmth. It’s still tucked in my notebook as a keepsake~ A pleasant surprise at the century-old ice cream parlor 🍦 The storefront looks like it’s straight out of an old movie. Open the door, and you’re hit with a rich milky aroma! Tried the seasonal rose-flavored ice cream—subtle floral notes, sweet but not cloying. With the vintage jukebox in the shop, it felt like stepping into a summer afternoon decades ago—pure happiness! Even though I only stayed a few days, Savannah’s slow pace and artistic vibe really stuck with me~ As I left, I kept thinking I have to come back someday, even if it’s just to sit by the river and watch boats come and go~ #Atlanta#InternationalStudentLife#savannah#BeachPhotos#dump
