Savannah Travel Guide 🌿
Savannah Travel Guide 🌿 🚗 Itinerary: Wormsloe ➡️ Forsyth Park ➡️ SCAD ➡️ Chippewa Square ➡️ Leopold's Ice Cream 🌲 Wormsloe State Historic Site This plantation is about 15 minutes by car from the main city. The oak trees at the entrance are truly spectacular 🌳! Their branches interlock to form a natural arcade, giving photos a cinematic vibe~ To enter the interior, you need to buy tickets at a small house next to the entrance. After purchasing, you’ll get a map of the plantation, then you can drive through the oak forest to enter. However, it’s entirely on the honor system—no one checks tickets! Personally, I don’t think it’s necessary to buy tickets for the interior. It’s quite desolate inside, with only some ruins and a small museum introducing the family’s history. Taking photos at the oak forest entrance is enough for great shots 📸! ⛲️ Forsyth Park Navigate directly to Forsyth Park, where there’s a charge point for parking. Get off and walk along the route—you’ll pass a fountain, which is a landmark of Savannah~ Continue walking, and there are many exquisite shops on the street, full of artistic charm 🎨. You’re sure to find little surprises while wandering~ 🎨 SCAD (Savannah College of Art and Design) This is a promotional spot for SCAD, totally unplanned for me, but surprisingly impressive! I was recommended to go in when passing by. You can book an immersive experience on-site—it uses light, shadow, and space to tell the school’s history. The visual effects are amazing, and the story is touching 😭. Highly recommend! 🪦 Chippewa Square It’s said to be the filming location of Forrest Gump, but the bench from the movie has been removed~ Just stop by if you’re passing through; no need to make a special detour~ 🍦 Leopold's Ice Cream A century-old shop with super retro decor, full of vintage charm ✨! The ice cream is delicious and not too sweet—definitely worth a try~ Overall, Savannah is a literary and quiet town. There are no standout "must-visit" attractions, but just strolling through the streets feels very healing 🌿. #StrollingInSpring#DayTrip#TravelBits#TravelDiary#USATravel
