East Coast Long Weekend Must-Eat List π₯
Day 1οΈβ£ π₯£ Right after landing, we headed to French Market and then walked toward the French Quarter to eat at Cafe Du Monde πππππ (800 Decatur St, New Orleans). β οΈ Bring cash! The coffee is pretty good, but skip the orange juice (tasted like mix π ). The beignets are delicious β eat in if you can; the takeout packaging is super basic. π° ~$15 per person π₯£ Kilwins Ice Cream π¦ β If youβve never tried it, go for it! Roasted coconut and strawberry flavors are my top picks π₯₯π. π° ~$5 per person Day 2οΈβ£ π₯£ Brunch at French Truck Coffee πππβ¨ β Got an oat milk latte and New Orleans iced coffee. The oat latte was a bit thin for my taste, but the iced coffee hit the spot β. Almond croissant was slightly over-baked and hard. π° ~$15 per person π₯£ Dinner at Hot N Cajun Boil House πππππ (901 Iberville St, New Orleans) β οΈ Strongly recommended β so good itβs addictive! We waited almost an hour (seating + food), but it was worth it ππ¦. Grilled oysters β Amazing! Tasted like garlicky Chinese-style. Crawfish fried rice β Just okay, a bit bland (maybe meant to be eaten with the seafood boil?). Bayou Blue Crab β We swapped shrimp for extra crawfish π¦. Perfect for two, though a little salty. Seafood soup β Skip it. Not much flavor or content inside. π° ~$40 per person Day 3οΈβ£ π₯£ Brunch at Cafe Beignet πππππ (622 Canal St, New Orleans) They have several locations β all vintage and charming with live jazz π·. We ordered ham & cheese omelette and beignets. Their beignets are fluffier and less oily, which I loved! π©β€οΈ π° ~$25 per person π₯£ Afternoon coffee at PJβs Coffee ππππ (many locations) Honey oat milk latte β way better than other oat lattes I tried in NOLA! A bit sweet but so good π―β. π° ~$6 per person #NewOrleans #NOLATravel #TravelGuide #NOLAEats #CrawfishLove #FoodieTrip
