East Village Afternoon Tea 🫖

Duo Cafe 📍 223 E 5th St, New York, NY 10003 After slurping down some udon noodles, I stumbled upon this charming teahouse/café. They were playing songs by Jay Chou and Chi Pu, several of which are my favorites. 🍃🌸 The dappled sunlight filtering through the trees onto the walls gave off a lovely early-summer vibe. 🍃 🍵 I picked out Biluochun from over a dozen types of tea and ordered a baked caramel sweet potato vanilla ice cream 🍦, sprinkled with a bit of dried osmanthus flowers. 🍃🌸The sweet potato, eaten separately from the caramel, didn't have the texture or sweetness of the red-hearted sweet potatoes from back home.
