Eat & Drink Well in New Orleans π½οΈπΉ
π¨ Hotel: The Barnett - JDV by Hyatt π Located just a 15-minute walk from the riverfront and the French Quarter. Great location and atmosphere β highly recommend! This trip was all about savoring flavors that truly delight β a delicious blend of Southern soul and European-inspired creativity. π Atchafalaya tops my list for the best meal! Went for Sunday brunch as a walk-in. Every dish was layered with vibrant dressings and seasonings β think Southern tang and spice balanced with French richness and creaminess. The Fried Green Tomatoes were perfectly crisp with a zesty sauce and tiny fish roe on top. The quiche had an incredibly flaky crust, and the chicken sandwich was tender and juicy β absolutely ! π Jewel of the South tied for first place! Their seasonal wine selection is refreshing and pairs wonderfully with appetizers. We shared the duck neck sausage β uniquely flavorful and rich β with a side of charred broccoli π₯¦. The broccoli was blanched and chilled for crunch, served with a thick Greek yogurt-based white sauce seasoned with mustard, lemon, and garlic. So fresh and delicious alongside the bold sausage! β¨ PΓͺche Seafood Grill served perfectly grilled fish with herb-loaded green sauces that tasted garden-fresh. The Fried Oyster Salad is a must if you love tangy greens. And the Hush Puppies were a standout β large, fragrant with spices, slightly sweet on their own but transformed with garlic butter. A true surprise β loved it! π β¨ Orleans Grapevine Wine Bar and Bistro is a cozy, classic French spot with hearty, homestyle flavors β and a happy hour from 4β6 PM! β¨ Maria's Oyster Bar offers fresh East Coast oysters and delicious salads. We stumbled in for lunch and later found out itβs highly rated! π Cochon was the only letdown β a bit overhyped in my opinion π. Prices were high, portions small, and even the popular dishes didnβt wow us. π± Tip: Google Reviews worked better than Yelp in NOLA! #NewOrleans #NOLAFood #SouthernCuisine #FoodieHeaven #EatDrinkNOLA
