Eating My Way Through New York's Italian Eateries(1)
I really love Italian cuisine - it doesn't need to be too complicated. Simple and comforting, with fresh and moist ingredients, is just delicious. π’π There are so many Italian places in New York that I can't possibly try them all, but I'll review eight that I've visited recently! LaRina Pastificio & Vino A hidden gem in BK, with a beautiful backyard and especially cozy decor. The flavors are consistent and straightforward, without any unnecessary frills. The tuna sauce with veal is amazing, and the focaccia and sourdough are both moist. π’π The pasta has a great texture and rich sauce - simple, yet comforting. Fossetta The ricotta focaccia with spicy honey is a bit odd, but the bread itself is quite oily and soft. I'll try a different flavor next time. π’πThe cream and chicken liver pasta is a pleasant surprise! The cream is rich and smooth, and the chicken liver has a strong aroma. The pan - fried chicken liver cubes are very oily and tender, with a touch of balsamic vinegar to cut through the richness. The rigatoni is slightly chewy and full of flavor. #NewYork ππ
