Eating Portuguese Seafood in Paris (We couldn't finish it all!)
📍 Pedra Alta This place is super popular, but the long queues make it feel quite touristy. Four of us ordered three dishes, all in small or medium portions, but it felt like we could never finish them! 🦐 We had the Salmon Platter , Lobster Platter , and Oyster Platter , which came with fries and seafood risotto . The salmon slices were huge and so satisfying! The fish had a crispy outer layer, while the inside was filled with salad greens. There were also cooked shrimp and conch meat on the plate. Dipping them in the Thousand Island dressing on the plate was simply delicious! 🍔 The oysters were pretty fresh, and the platter also included crab, cooked shrimp, conch meat, and clams? Or were they geoducks? I couldn't tell, but there were a few clams that weren't so fresh. When we called the waiter, he didn't even say a word, just took them away and replaced them with some really fresh ones. It felt like they had better ones but didn't serve them initially. 🦪 The lobster was seasoned really well, and the platter also had mussels, squid, and shrimp. The base was covered with some kind of staple food. Overall, aside from the lobster, there wasn't anything particularly impressive about the other seafood; it was just average. 🦀 The seafood risotto wasn't as good as what you'd find in Portugal. It was just okay—nothing special, but we did get to taste it. In terms of preference: Salmon Platter > Oyster Platter > Lobster Platter . The portions were really generous; four of us couldn't finish it all and had to take a box home. 📦 #SeafoodFreedom #FrenchCuisine #food #ParisianDelights #ParisSeafood #TravelFrance #TravelParis
