Eating Through North America's Chinatowns|Salt Lake City Edition 🥢🏙️

Haven’t had Chinese food since leaving LA four or five days ago 😩 Drove 6 hours from Page to Salt Lake City — the perfect pitstop before Yellowstone. Spent two days in SLC and had three Chinese meals: hot pot, BBQ, and noodles. 🥘 First meal: Ombu Hotpot 📍 3424 S State St, South Salt Lake, UT 84115 Lots of ingredients to choose from, sides were nice. We were starving after a day without food, so this hit the spot — satisfying and no stomach issues afterwards. AYCE worth the price. 🍜 Second meal: One More Noodle House Popular on social media, so we gave it a try. Ordered eggplant noodles and lamb spine noodles. Noodles were decent, but the lamb was too gamey and the eggplant too oily. Crowded and service was lacking — a bit disappointing. 🍢 Third meal: A new BBQ spot (a bit farther from Chinatown) Skewers were just okay, but the cheesy corn and cat’s paw mochi rice cakes were delicious — we ordered seconds! Worth a try if nearby. 🌟 Overall SLC Chinatown rating: 4/5 The supermarket is great — stock up on supplies before heading to Yellowstone if you have a Chinese stomach! Recommended: self-heating meals, hot pots, rice dishes — add your own spam and eggs. PS: The Hong Lian Chinese Restaurant near Yellowstone’s West Gate is actually pretty good! #USTravel #SaltLakeCityTravel #Yellowstone #WestCoastRoadTrip #USAWestCoast
