Edinburgh's Kyloe - Authentic Scottish Longhorn Beef! 🐂
Our driver and guide introduced us to Edinburgh’s famous steakhouse, Kyloe, named after the Scottish Kyloe longhorn cattle. Before ordering, they presented a detailed beef display 🍖, showcasing various cuts and their characteristics. It wasn't particularly unique compared to standard beef cuts, but seeing the large steaks arranged on a platter was quite impressive and fun. 🥩 Ribeye Steak : The ribeye, dry-aged for 21 days, was ordered medium-rare but felt a bit too well-done. For those who enjoy a more tender bite, I’d recommend trying it rare. The beef quality was good, though it didn’t quite match the melt-in-your-mouth texture of wagyu. 🦪 Oysters : Scottish seafood is quite fresh. Though the oysters were small, they were delicious. A few drops of Talisker 10-year whisky 🥃 made them even more perfect. Cheers with a colleague over some oysters was a highlight! 🌰 Onion Tower : This appetizer was similar to something you’d find in an American steakhouse. A large onion, sliced into a blooming flower shape, was coated in batter and fried until crispy. The sweet onion flavor was delightful and made for a great starter. 🥕 Roasted Carrots : With limited vegetable options, the roasted carrots were a standout. The first bite was crisp, and the second was tender, with no off-flavors. 🍚 Overall Taste : Pretty good. 🍀 Ambiance : Elegant, with window seats offering views of the sunset over the streets. 🌟 Service : Informative but a bit slow in serving. ✨ Value for Money : Mid-to-high range, but reasonable for the experience. #HiddenGemRestaurant #ScottishBeef #SteakLovers #EdinburghEats #KyloeRestaurant #TastyBeef #FreshOysters
