El Paso | What Else Is There Besides White Sands?
Short answer: not much š Thereās a cave park nearby, but we were tight on time and didnāt make itāso we just explored around the city. š Magoffin Home State Historic Site This used to be a local tycoonās mansion šļø, now open to the public. The front garden is lovely šø, and the interior, though a bit dated, is full of character and vintage details. Itās fairly smallāyou can tour the whole place in under an hour. Other than that, there werenāt many must-see spots. Some graffiti walls šØ are cool but not worth a special trip. But the FOODāoh, the food! š A true paradise for meat lovers! š½ļø Rudyās Country Store and Bar-B-Q You canāt visit Texas without trying BBQ! This place is a legend. Their slow-smoked brisket is a must-orderāincredibly tender and juicy šš„. The ribs are also amazing. Honestly, itās hard to go wrong with anything here. š½ļø West Texas Chophouse Another solid BBQ spot, but after Rudyās, it didnāt wow us as much. Still good though! š½ļø Los Cabos Seafood A Mexican seafood restaurant with decent dishes. Their tacos arenāt as good as Taconetaās, and the grilled octopus falls short compared to CafĆ© Centralās. š½ļø Taconeta A fusion taco spot with a cute, modern vibe š®ā¤ļø. The shrimp and mushroom tacos are lightly fried and felt very Asian-friendly. Their drinks are delicious too! š½ļø Cafe Central A fine dining gem š“āØ. We came here after White Sandsācasual but classy. I loved their grilled octopus! Note: dress code is enforced š. Our group wore t-shirts and shorts, so we were seated in the patio (which was still lovely!). #FoodReview #NewMexico #TexasEats #BBQLover #TravelUSA #FoodDiary #HiddenGems #ElPasoEats
