🐂 Elk Island NP: No Elk, All Bison & Magic! 🦌✨

🏞 Edmonton’s Backyard Wilderness Just a 35min drive east, Elk Island NP is supposed to have elk… but it’s the bison that steal the show! 🐂💥 🚗 First Visit Fiasco (2019) Hot day + zero animals = major confusion! Flew a drone for an hour… nada. 😅🚁 🍃 Spring 202X: Bison Bingo! Drove in to see cars pulled over… and THEN THEY APPEARED! A bison herd crossing the road like models on a runway! 📸👀 My daughter’s first bison sighting = instant WeChat flex. 👨👧💥 🥾 Hiking for Bears (and Fail) Picked a “safe” trail (still traumatized from last month’s mountain climb in flats 😱). No bears, no elk… but squirrels, beavers, and ducks! 🐿️🦫🦆 🌿 Bison Encore! On the way out, they were back—grazing in the sun, living their best #BisonLife. 🌞🐂 🏕️ Autumn Plans: Camping & Aurora September/October—tent, campfire, and northern lights! ⛺️🌌 💡 Final Thoughts Elk Island isn’t just a park—it’s a living, breathing sanctuary.
