Emm, I don't quite get it, but I'm utterly shocked! π²π
This is about the movie Buffalo '66. First, let me share my After watching (post-viewing feelings). The whole movie feels so oppressive. The protagonist's parents aren't exactly nurturing, so it's no wonder they can't raise an outstanding child. He's always muttering to himself. Even if, in the end, he chose to kill someone and then himself, it might seem somewhat justified. But then, in the last 2 minutes, he suddenly has an epiphany. He lets go of his obsession, and you just feel, emm, a spark of hope ignites. Life suddenly seems like it could get better. (But I still don't fully understand it, to be honest.) The story roughly goes like this: The male lead is framed and spends ππ» (five) years in prison. After getting out, he's constantly looking for a toilet. (At first, I thought maybe he had some "issues" or something was wrong with him.) Then, he forces a girl to go home with him, pretending he's living a happy life now to reassure his parents. They go play his favorite game, bowling, together. Later, while getting drinks, they run into a girl he had a crush on but who used to mock him. Finally, they end up at a motel, and the girl stays with him. In the end, he "kills" his obsession, but in another sense, the version of him in a different mindset lets go of it because he meets a girl who loves him and whom he loves back. I'll go check out some real movie reviews later and share some insights in the comments section.
