Escape the Weekend | Concert "Speed Travel" in Incheon
I squeezed in time to catch a concert in Incheon this May—and since I didn’t feel like heading into Seoul, I took a quick tour around Incheon instead. I’d searched for things to do beforehand and thought Incheon might be a bit boring… and after visiting? Yeah, turns out it is pretty low-key. But hey, the little highlights still made the weekend worthwhile! 👟 My "Concert + Quick Explore" Itinerary Shanghai → Incheon → Inspire Arena (for the concert!) Then: Eulwangri Beach → Yeongjong Island (salt bread + seaside café) → Yeongjong Island Ferry Terminal ⛴️ → Wolmido Island → Chinatown → Incheon International Airport 🥐 Food & Drinks: The Small Joys Internet-Famous Salt Bread : Tried the viral salt bread everyone talks about—and it lived up to the hype! Flaky, buttery, with just the right hint of salt. Total comfort food. Seaside Café Sat at this café with ocean views for a coffee break. Sipping a latte while watching the waves? Perfect for unwinding after the concert chaos. ⚡ Little Moments That Stood Out Eulwangri Beach: Super laid-back and chill. No crowds, just the sound of the sea—great for a quick post-concert recharge, even if the beach itself isn’t anything fancy. Yeongjong Island → Wolmido Island Ferry: Taking the ferry was way more fun than I expected! The short ride gave me nice sea views, and it felt like a tiny adventure. Seagulls = Scary Heads up—those seagulls by the ferry are intense! They swoop down super close if you have food, which was low-key terrifying (but also kinda funny in hindsight). Final Thought Incheon is definitely not a "must-see" for non-concert trips—it’s quiet, and there’s no big "wow" attraction. But if you’re in town for a show (shoutout to SHINee’s Incheon encore! ✨) and want to fill the gaps between travel and the concert? Those little stops—beach, salt bread, ferry ride—make for a relaxing, no-fuss weekend escape. #Incheon #IncheonKorea #SHINeeIncheonEncore #IncheonCafes #IncheonFood #KoreaTrip #WeekendGetaway
