Eugene Science Center is So Much Fun – Go Check It Out! 🚀

This year, I got an annual pass for California’s Exploratorium, which is part of the ASTC (Association of Science-Technology Centers) network 🎫. With this pass, I can get free entry to any ASTC-affiliated science and technology museums that are more than 90 miles (145 km) away from my home (measured as the crow flies) – such a great deal! 💰 Yesterday, we visited OSMI (Oregon Museum of Science and Industry) in Portland 🧪. Today, we spotted the Eugene Science Center – it’s right near the University of Oregon campus 🎓, and also close to the Chinese restaurant we planned to eat at 🍜. The best part? It stays open until 7 PM on Fridays! 🕖 We’d read online that it’s a pretty small science center, so we didn’t plan to spend much time there. We showed up around 6:30 PM after dinner, thinking we’d just wander around for 30 minutes to digest our food 🚶‍♀️. But wow – we were totally blown away! 😲 Even though it’s small (you can see almost the whole space at a glance), it far exceeded our expectations. Every exhibit is super fun, with strong interactivity 🤝 and clear, easy-to-understand science explanations 📚. We could’ve spent ages playing with each one – realistically, you could easily spend 2-3 hours here! When they kicked us out at 7 PM, we were kicking ourselves (literally!) – we wished we’d finished dinner faster and arrived earlier! 🙅‍♀️ If you ever pass through Eugene, make sure to stop here for 1-2 hours. Admission is only $7.50 – the value is unbeatable! 💯 P.S. Check out Photo 7: There’s a game where you control a soccer ball with your brainwaves! 🧠⚽ The calmer you are, the stronger the magnetic field you generate to shoot the ball into the goal. #Oregon #Eugene #ScienceMuseum #MuseumFun #EugeneFamilyFun #KidFriendlyEugene #ExploreMuseums #DiscoverScienceWorld
