European Travel: Listening to the Sea Organ in Zadar
✅My second stop in Croatia was Zadar, a 3,000-year-old coastal city. But I wasn’t here just for its history—I came to witness two marvels: the Sea Organ and the Greeting to the Sun. 🪗 The Sea Organ ✅The world’s first large-scale tidal-powered organ. Its 70-meter-long white marble steps hide 35 pipes of varying sizes. 💫As waves ebb and flow, the wind and water compose an ever-changing melody. When boats pass, the music swells—here, nature is the musician, harmonizing with human ingenuity. 🎶 🌅 The Sunset 💫Alfred Hitchcock once declared, "Zadar has the most beautiful sunset in the world." Sit on the Sea Organ’s steps, let the breeze carry its music, watch the sun dip below the horizon, then join the luminous spectacle nearby. Cap the night with authentic Dalmatian seafood—a perfect day. 🚶 Quick Old Town Walk 🌊Zadar’s tiny historic center takes just 1 hour to explore: Land Gate entrance → Five Wells Square. St. Donatus Church (Roman Forum) → St. Anastasia’s Cathedral. Exit through the Sea Gate → stroll to the Sea Organ. 🍽️ Food Pick 🌊Restoran 4 Kantuna: Try the grilled octopus and sea bass (confirm portion sizes—they’re generous!). #EuropeTravel #Croatia #ZadarSeafood #BestSunset
