European Travelogue Seville

💕💕From Faro in Portugal, I took a bus to the small city of Seville in Spain. Here, there’s a palace that Game of Thrones fans just have to check in at: the Alcázar Palace, one of the filming locations for the series. With flowing gardens, a greenery maze, and peacocks strolling leisurely, the palace is a sight to behold. The palace is also filled with orange trees, a pity that the fruits are still unripe. If I had come a bit later, I would have seen 🍊 hanging from the branches all around the garden. 💕💕Besides the palace, the Seville Cathedral is another major checkpoint. It’s the third-largest church in the world, housing a bronze statue of four kings carrying a coffin, which contains the remains of Christopher Columbus. After Columbus’ death, his remains were moved several times, passing through the Dominican Republic and Cuba, before finally being brought back to Spain and placed in the Seville Cathedral. 💕💕Perhaps out of respect for Columbus’ wish to never set foot on Spanish soil again, his coffin was designed to be carried, rather than buried underground. #SharingMyDailyLife #CulturalSights #Europe #Travelogue #SpainTravel #SevillePalace #SevilleCathedral
