Evelyn’s Table | 12 Seats, 5 Courses, 3 Chefs 🍽️✨
Tucked away in the basement of The Blue Posts pub in London’s Soho, this restaurant focuses on modern European cuisine with a fusion of Japanese and French influences. 🍣🥖 With only 12 seats, the space is undeniably cramped, making the dining experience feel quite crowded and not exactly relaxing… However, the open kitchen setup allows you to closely observe the kitchen team at work. 🧑🍳👀 By the time dessert rolls around, the chefs are already cleaning up in front of everyone, ready to call it a night. Last autumn, they welcomed a new head chef, who previously worked at London’s one-Michelin-starred Muse by Tom Aikens. The menu changes with the seasons, and the seafood and desserts are particularly standout. 🦞🍨 The side dishes are also intriguing, with many unexpected pairings. The roasted rainbow trout is perfectly cooked and tender; the lobster is paired with mushrooms and cocoa beans, with a sauce made from simmered lobster heads and shells. 🦐🍄 The triple-layered dish of potato slices, potato mousse, and pollock, paired with mild-flavored leek, is a delight—roasted leeks even taste sweet! 🥔🧅 They serve two seatings each night, at 6 PM and 8:45 PM, and recently started weekend lunch services. 🕕 If you arrive early, there’s no waiting area—you’ll either have to wait outside or grab a seat at the pub upstairs. 🍻 Honestly, the seating isn’t the most comfortable, but the food is so good that it’s still worth recommending! 👍 #LondonEats #LondonFoodie #JapaneseFrenchFusion #LondonSoho #LetsDineTogether #LondonMichelin #MichelinStarLondon #HiddenGemRestaurant #FusionCuisine #LondonRestaurants
