🌅 Even More Beautiful
🌅 Even More Beautiful Than “Manchester by the Sea” is Rochester by the Lake! The second stop of our long-weekend city escape was Rochester, New York~ Just an hour and a half drive from Cornell Ithaca, the scenery along Route 89 is as beautiful as a movie🎬. I didn’t have high expectations for this city—my only impression was that the name sounded like the movie Manchester by the Sea… but once we arrived, I realized Rochester is truly a lovely place! ✨ If you only have one day like we did, I highly recommend these two spots: 🏖️ Ontario Beach Park (the northern lakeside park on Lake Ontario) Try to go before sunset! 🌇 After a good meal, enjoy the breeze and take a stroll along the sandy beach. You can walk all the way to the lighthouse in the photo. The pathway over the water is super photogenic📸 and faces the setting sun—you’ll experience one of the Great Lakes’ most beautiful sunsets! 🌊💛 🍽️ Velvet Belly Restaurant This place has great vibes~ We originally planned to walk in at 6 PM, but it was totally packed, completely full🔥. The hostess was really nice though and arranged a table for us at 9 PM. Perfect timing after exploring the park~ The restaurant has moody bar-style lighting and atmosphere, feeling ideal for a romantic date👫. The recommended dishes we tried didn’t disappoint—especially the seafood soup, which was authentic and rich, and the cocktails were refreshing too! Highly recommend~ 🍸🦞 All in all, I really enjoyed Rochester’s slow-paced day and hope to stay longer next time. Before leaving, I even played a Wang Leehom playlist—a little farewell to the place where he was born and raised~🤣🎵 #rocheste#EscapeNYC#EastCoastRoadTrip#NYCWeekend
