Experiencing the Warmth of a Snowy Country in Ainokura Gassho Village
Experiencing the Warmth of a Snowy Country in Ainokura Gassho Village โค๏ธโ๐ฅ ๐๐ธ Instead of going to the crowded Shirakawa-go, we decided to visit Ainokura Gassho Village. ๐๐ฟ Our plan was to quietly enjoy the village for 2 hours and then return to Toyama, but... Shortly after arriving in Ainokura, a heavy snowstorm unexpectedly hit, and the visibility dropped to less than 5 meters at its peak. ๐ข๐ We had to take shelter in a small shop at the village entrance, where we received the bad news: "Due to road closures, the buses are not running, and the reopening time depends on the weather." ๐๐บ After a long three-hour wait, the snow showed no signs of stopping. The kind shop owner continuously checked the traffic information for us and arranged a place for us to stay overnight. In our despair, we ended up staying at a local inn. However, when the inn's door opened, we embarked on an unprecedentedly wonderful experience. ๐ข๐ The warm hospitality of the ownerโs family, the cozy room, the thoughtful welcome tea and snacks, the exquisite dinner and breakfast, and the carefully arranged interaction time after dinner were all incredible. ๐๐ฟ Who would have thought that this Gassho-style house has a history of over 200 years? Normally, you need to book at least 2 months in advance to stay here, and we got in "easily"? And the Gassho-style house light-up event, which usually requires a reservation, was available for us to see right away? ๐ ๐๐บ #AinokuraGasshoVillage ๐ฟ๐
