Exploring "the Provence of the Southern Hemisphere" - French Corner

If Cape Town is the shining card of South Africa, then Franschhoek is the secret poem hidden in the valley. Last week, Keyforkbb personally visited this South African wine country and spent a few days indulging in the slow life among the vineyards, staying at the exquisite La Residence, truly experiencing the charm of "the Provence of the Southern Hemisphere." πŸͺ» Franschhoek is one of the oldest towns in South Africa and is known as "the Provence of the Southern Hemisphere." Once you step in, it feels like you are in the South of France. The sun-drenched town has picturesque street scenes and a strong artistic atmosphere, with the air filled with the aroma of wine and gardens. β›ͺ Strolling down the main street, you will see French-style buildings with white walls and red tiles on both sides of the road. Museums, galleries, cafes, and handicraft stores are lined up one after another, full of creativity and personality. Although the town itself is not large, it is very exquisite and suitable for exploring on foot. 🍷 When it comes to Franschhoek, wine is an indispensable highlight. Tasting South African boutique wines glass after glass is one of the most pleasant slow moments of the trip. You can also communicate with winemakers in the wineries to learn about the winemaking process and the French heritage behind it. πŸ—οΈ What truly intoxicates is the hotel where we stayed - La Residence. It is a luxury manor hotel located on a hill, covering an area of 120,000 square meters and surrounded by vineyards and mountains. The lobby is decorated with a blend of African, Asian, and European artistic styles, featuring antiques and paintings from all over the world, luxurious yet warm. πŸ–ΌοΈ The hotel has only 11 suites, each a unique artistic space: the Frangipani suite with its gold and white tones is powerful; the Disa suite with its blend of pink and green is gentle and graceful; and there are also exotic suites with Eastern Tibetan decorations... No matter whether you like romance, elegance, or mystery, each suite offers a panoramic view of the valley and vineyards. Opening the door reveals sunshine, a swimming pool, and mountains, so beautiful it feels surreal. There are also 5 modern-style vineyard villas on the back mountain, more suitable for families or friends traveling together. They are fully equipped with open kitchens, outdoor swimming pools, and private dining areas, perfect for long-term stays. 🍽️ The dining experience is as excellent as always. Enjoy breakfast in the restaurant with black and white tiles, or have a glass of red wine on the terrace while overlooking the mountain sunset; after dinner, sit in the cigar bar, where every detail is exquisitely in place. πŸš΅β€β™€οΈ In your leisure time, you can book a spa or go for a swim in the pool. If you love the outdoors, you can also arrange cycling, horse riding, or mountain hiking, or even have a picnic with wine. πŸ₯‚ The travel experience in Franschhoek is like a finely crafted glass of red wine: gentle and pleasant when uncorked, with a long and lingering aftertaste. #Keyforkbb's World Tour #Franschhoek #keyforkbb
