Exploring Philadelphia: Pescatore BYOB
đAppetizers: Tartar: Corn chips with salmon, beets, and avocado. It was averageânothing special but nothing wrong either. Chicken Livers (Special): The crispy fried chicken livers with mushrooms were quite aromatic, though a bit greasy. Highly recommended despite the oiliness. đMain Courses: Fettuccine Bolognese: This pasta features a blend of beef, pork, and cheese. The noodles were a bit soft and tore easily, but overall, it was a safe choice that wonât disappoint. Chicken Cacciatore: Tender grilled chicken breast served with onions, mushrooms, small chili peppers, and mashed potatoes. âď¸Pescatore Pasta: The seafood pasta, named after the restaurant, had fresh and generous portions of shrimp and mussels. The rest of the dish was pretty standard. âď¸Veal Milanese: The breaded veal was crispy and the meat was tender, though it lacked a strong beef flavor. The artichokes were a bit of an acquired taste (not my favorite), and the small chili peppers were quite spicy. The red peppers were slightly bitter, possibly overcooked. The mashed potatoes, however, were the star of the showârich, creamy, and full of flavor. âď¸Overall, the restaurantâs flavors were on the lighter side. Nothing was bad, but nothing was particularly amazing either (except for the mashed potatoesâthey were truly delicious!). Iâd give it a solid 70 out of 100. #Philadelphia #PhiladelphiaLife #PhiladelphiaFood #ExploringRestaurants #StudentEats
