🐾 Exploring the World with My Dog — Milwaukee Edition 🌎✨

We took advantage of the Fourth of July holiday week for a getaway with our whippet Doupi! This time, we chose Milwaukee as our destination. 🏨 Hilton Milwaukee Center A great pet-friendly choice! The hotel has its own dog park 🐕🦺, making potty breaks super convenient. Day 1️⃣: Arrival Stopped in Chicago for a meal at Damao Chengdu Snacks — highly recommend the Tiancai potatoes, Bang Bang chicken, and pork intestine noodles! 🌶️🍜 Day 2️⃣: City Adventures 🦞 Milwaukee Public Market: Tried the famous St. Paul Fish Company. Their lobster roll was packed with meat 🦞, and the grilled bread was delicious. The lobster boil (Cajun style) came with a whole lobster, potatoes, and corn 🌽. Fresh and affordable! 🏛️ Milwaukee Art Museum: Located by Lake Michigan — perfect for photos! 📸 You don’t need a ticket to shoot the iconic “wings” and the cute blue house nearby. 🏀 Fiserv Forum (Bucks’ Home): Even without a game, the team store is open! 🦌 Got some Bucks merch — navigate to “Fiserv Forum,” not “Bucks” 😹. 🍺 Lakefront Brewery Tour: Enjoyed a fun tour with 4 beer tastings included! 🍻 Day 3️⃣: Dog-Friendly Day Since many spots aren’t pet-friendly, we left Doupi with a Rover sitter on Day 2. Day 3 was all about him! 🦮 River Walk: A beautiful trail along the river — perfect for walks with your pup 🌊. The area around the Public Market is also great for strolling and shopping. 🏍️ Harley-Davidson Museum: A must-see even for non-bikers! Exhibits range from early bicycle-like models to modern custom bikes 🏁. The engine hall is especially cool. 🍽️ Dinner at Sanford: Celebrated my birthday here 🎂! Tried the 7-course chef’s menu (allow 3+ hours). Also offers a 4-course à la carte. Interesting modern American experience! Day 4️⃣: Heading Home Stopped in Chicago again for Damao snacks, boba tea, duck neck, and liangpi to bring back to Michigan 🧋🦆.
