Fall Break|Where Freshmen in Pittsburgh Can Go for Fun 🍂🎉

Finally finished my first midterm at CMU! The long-awaited fall break is here 🥰 Sharing some of my Pittsburgh experiences here Hope it helps with your next outing! 🫶🏻 Kennywood 🎠 A theme park perfect for thrill-seekers! Highlights include roller coasters like “Phantom’s Revenge”, pendulum rides, U-shaped skate rides, and swinging chairs. Wait times are generally short. 🎢 During the Halloween event, you’ll find live actors roaming the park + fog effects for extra spookiness! 👻 Group tickets are around $30 per person. Duquesne Incline 🌃 Take the cable car up the mountain to the overlook for a stunning view of Pittsburgh. Super photogenic and highly recommended! 📸 Free ride with student ID. Best visited at dusk or night for sunset or city lights! 🌇 Point State Park ⛲️ A smaller park right across from Duquesne Incline. In October, the fall foliage is gorgeous — great photo spot under the golden trees 🍂 You can also enjoy the river views, fountain, and cute dogs playing around! 🐕 National Aviary 🐦 Get up close with all kinds of birds and even penguins! 🐧 They offer guided talks throughout the day. Compact but fun — takes about an hour to explore. Free entry with student ID! Mattress Factory 🎨 A contemporary art museum with mind-bending installations — including Yayoi Kusama’s Infinity Mirror Room! 🪞 Highly recommend if you’re into modern art. Also free for students! If you have any other recommendations for food or fun spots in Pittsburgh, drop them in the comments! 🤩 #Fall2024 #Fall2023 #StudyInTheUS #InternationalStudents #BreakTime #FreshmanLife #WeekendVibes #Pittsburgh #CMU #CarnegieMellon #Kennywood #UniversityOfPittsburgh #LifeInUSA #CampusDiary ✨🏞️
