We visited for Sunday brunch during Essence Fest β and wow, what an experience! π The line can get pretty long, but trust us, itβs worth the wait. If you can make a reservation, do it early! We ended up waiting for an indoor table, and it was the perfect escape from the sizzling July heat outside. βοΈβοΈ Inside, the vibe was cool and relaxed, while the terrace was buzzing with a DJ and party energy π§πΉ β definitely the spot if you're in the mood to dance! Now, letβs talk food β it came out SO FAST, I actually thought theyβd brought us someone elseβs order! π² But no, the meals were hot, fresh, and definitely ours. I had the Catfish & Grits β perfectly seasoned, flaky, and flavorful. My friend ordered the Chicken & Waffles β crispy, tender, and totally satisfying. The portions were generous β more than enough for two β and every bite was seasoned with soul. ππ― One heads-up: the restrooms were poorly maintained π½π§Ό, especially for a place that had been open less than two hours. I let the staff know about a clogged toilet, but they didnβt seem too concerned. So maybe hit the restroom before you come, just in case! Overall?
