Fell in Love with Cefalù on the Sicilian Coast, Italy 🇮🇹
I visited Sicily, the largest island in the Mediterranean, for the second time and headed straight to my favorite town, Cefalù. It’s a UNESCO World Heritage site and the filming location of the movie "Cinema Paradiso." It’s perfect for relaxing and vacationing… ✅ Is Sicily Safe? Due to its history as a mafia stronghold, many worry about safety. To be fair, there are quite a few homeless people and refugees, especially in big cities like Palermo and Catania, and the streets can be dirty. However, it's generally safe. Just avoid going out at night and stay away from alleyways. Big cities may feel a bit unsafe, but small towns are generally safe. ✅ Cefalù vs. Taormina: Which is Worth Visiting? If you have enough time, visit both. If time is limited, Cefalù is the top choice as it offers more to see. Taormina became popular in China due to the show "Chinese Restaurant," but Cefalù is a World Heritage site that perfectly blends the sea and a medieval town. ✅ Transportation to Cefalù 🚞 ✈️ Nearest Airport: Palermo Airport Direct flights from Rome, Milan, Paris, London, etc. 🚞 By Train: You can take a train from Rome, Milan, or Naples to Palermo and then transfer to a local train to Cefalù. #LittleRedBook #StudentLifeAbroad #MyStudyAbroadLife #StudyInTheUK
