šļø "Sicily, Italy š®š¹ is the epitome of European island vacations! š
If you know Italians š®š¹, almost every Italian will recommend Sicily to you. It has mid-to-low costs among popular Southern European tourist islands. With the most beautiful sea in Italy, the Egadi Islands, a rich historical and cultural heritage, ancient Roman ruins, and romantic beaches and quaint towns... ā Transportation Tips Sicily's three major airports: Trapani, Palermo, and Catania, offer direct flights from various European cities. The cheapest ticket I got was 14 Euros. Transportation on the main island is fairly convenient but with limited schedules; renting a car is recommended. ā Itinerary Suggestions Rome ā Trapani ā Palermo ā Cefalu ā Agrigento ā Catania ā Taormina ā Siracusa ā Noto ā Catania ā Rome For accommodations, consider staying in Palermo and Catania, the two largest cities on Sicily, as they offer easy transportation to surrounding towns and lower prices than popular tourist towns. 1ļøā£ Trapani, for island hopping tours. It's a 40-minute boat ride to the most beautiful island in Italy, the Egadi Islands. 2ļøā£ Cefalu, a medieval town on the Mediterranean coast, my favorite spot in Sicily. 3ļøā£ Taormina, the filming location for a Chinese restaurant scene, where you can see a heart-shaped bay. 4ļøā£ Siracusa, the hometown of Archimedes, a UNESCO World Heritage site. 4ļøā£ Noto, the City of Stone, a filming location for many movies, a UNESCO World Heritage site. 5ļøā£ Agrigento, the Valley of the Temples, ancient Roman ruins. 6ļøā£ Catania's University Square and Palermo's City Cathedral. #StudyAbroadLife #MyStudyAbroadExperience #StudyingInUK #UKStudents #GlobalTravel #TravelWithXiaohongshu #TravelingAlone #FriendsCircleShare #GlobalTravel #Sicily #OffTheBeatenPath #EuropeanTravelGuide #ItalyTravel"
