Fiji Travel Diary 🇫🇯 Day 2: Off-the-Beaten-Path Adventures in Nadi🌞

🌞 Morning: Feeling Like the Only Tourist in Town Woke up to discover we were literally the only foreigners wandering around! 👀 Wearing a tank top in this local neighborhood, I got some looks - not unfriendly, just... curious stares. 😅 Stopped at a roadside stall and bought a bag of cherry tomatoes for just $1 FJD (about ¥3). The vendor grinned at my terrible Fijian pronunciation - "Vinaka!" 🍅 🛕 Unexpected Temple Visit (With Sock Consequences) Stumbled upon a Hindu temple under renovation 🏗️. We removed our shoes to walk around the perimeter three times for good luck (local custom!). Big mistake: The ground was covered in orange dust! Our white socks turned permanently turmeric-yellow 🧦➡️🧡. RIP our socks, but worth it for the cultural experience! #FijiTravel #NadiDiaries #SockGate2023
