Finally Understand the Hype After Trying This Yorkville Pasta Spot!

Every time I shopped in Yorkville, I'd see massive lines outside this place and think "It's just pasta... how special could it be?" So I never bothered trying - until recently when I walked in right at opening and got seated immediately. Turns out? Totally worth the hype (and yes, even worth waiting in line for)! The food is incredible and prices are surprisingly reasonable for Yorkville. 🌟 ​​House Made Bread​​ 🥖 They don't automatically serve bread - you have to order it. As a certified carb lover, I obviously did. This might be the best focaccia I've had in Toronto! 🌿 The perfect chew with that crispy crust, dipped in olive oil and balsamic? Chef's kiss 🌟 ​​Polipo​​ 🐙 Grilled octopus leg done right - tender with that perfect char. But what really made it was the accompanying beans and seasoning 🧂 - such a harmonious combo that we literally scraped the plate clean. 🌟 ​​Signature Pastas​​ 🍝 Had to try their namesake ​​Risotto Nervosa​​ with slow-braised short rib 🥩 (huge portion!) and the ​​Mafalde​​ with black truffle mushrooms 🍄‍🟫.
