🍣 First Impressions: Ye's Sushi in Waterloo/Kitchener
We recently tried Ye's Sushi, a Japanese all-you-can-eat (AYCE) spot in the Waterloo/Kitchener area. As a sushi lover, my partner had been wanting to check this place out for a while. To avoid the weekend rush, we went on a Thursday at 6 PM—perfect timing, as the restaurant was relaxed and quiet. 🍵 First Impressions Warm Welcome: The server immediately offered us iced water or green tea. The green tea was fragrant and soothing—a great start! Easy Ordering: Scan-to-order system with a wide variety of sushi, sashimi, fried dishes, ramen, and desserts. 🍱 What We Tried (& Loved!) 🔥 Grilled & Fried Dishes Grilled Squid: Crispy outside, tender inside—highly recommended! Octopus Sashimi: Chewy, fresh, and naturally sweet—a must-try for octopus fans. Beef & Cherry Tomato Skewers: Juicy beef with bursts of tomato flavor. Tempura Veggies: Light, crispy, and not oily at all. 🍜 Hot Dishes Miso Soup: Light yet flavorful—I ended up having three bowls! Teppanyaki Squid & Beef: Perfectly seared, aromatic, and generous portions. 🍰 Desserts Mango Cake: A bit too sweet for me. Strawberry & Matcha Ice Cream: Sweet, but dipping sweet potato tempura in it was a game-changer! (Hot + cold + sweet + crispy = amazing!) 💰 Pricing & Final Thoughts AYCE Price: $37.99 (before tax)—reasonable for the quality and variety. Verdict: A great experience with fresh ingredients, good pacing, and no rush. We’ll definitely be back to try the pineapple fried rice and udon! 📍 Address: 70 Sportsworld Dr, Kitchener, ON N2P 0A6 #WaterlooEats #YeSushi #JapaneseAYCE #FoodieAdventures #OntarioEats
