First Impressions of Mexico 🇲🇽: Ciudad Juárez
While driving through El Paso, Texas, I suddenly realized Mexico was just across the border! 🇲🇽 My previous image of Mexico - a country overrun by drug cartels and violence - was completely wrong! ❌❌ I strongly recommend anyone passing through Texas to visit this surprising city! The locals here are incredibly friendly - strangers actually smile at foreigners on the street! 🌟 Juárez Cathedral (built in 1935) Opens at 9 AM, already bustling with morning worshippers. 🌟 Museum of the Mexican Revolution Housed in a traditional Spanish-style building. Despite its name, it mainly showcases Juárez's history as a crucial border town. The vintage photographs are exceptional! (Some English explanations available, but Google Translate will help 👀) 🌟 Must-try: Villa Del Mar restaurant • Brunch = Authentic Mexican breakfast • Dinner = Amazing seafood feast! 🦞 Warning: Portions are HUGE! I ordered two dishes and couldn't finish half...😭 PS: • Few locals speak English - Google Translate is essential • USD is accepted, but exchanging to pesos at the border gets better deals! #MexicoTravel #BorderCities #HiddenGems #Juarez #CulturalSurprises #FoodieFinds
