First Meal in Las Vegas 🎄
Kicked off the Christmas holiday with a bowl of Lanzhou Beef Noodles! Big Orange and Little Orange revisited Yun Noodle in Las Vegas for the second time. The first visit, Big Orange had a bad cold and couldn’t taste anything—so this time, we brought our friend Li Li (a tabby cat) along for the meal 😹 We ordered three noodles + a trio of side dishes + Liangpi (cold skin noodles). Big Orange’s Northwest China verdict: 🍜 Beef Noodles – Broth flavor is quite authentic, but noodle type options are limited and thickness isn’t precise. 🍜 Lamb Offal Noodles – Same broth as beef noodles, but the offal has no gamey taste—big thumbs up! 🍜 Spicy Beef Dry Noodles – Tastes like Guo You Rou mixed noodles—delicious! 🥢 Liangpi – Not traditional cold skin noodles, but chewy and good (note: comes without chili—we added our own). 🥗 Side Dishes – Pickled veggies in chili oil were the best; Little Orange preferred the shredded potatoes. Beef slices were just okay. Finally, the stuffed cats washed it all down with Hui Lau Shan mango desserts (Little Orange’s obsession—the Guangzhou locations closed down 😢). We ordered three mango-based drinks—ingredients were generous, but default sweetness was intense. Big Orange diluted his with half water just to finish it! PS: Little Orange still prefers the childhood version. PPS: Heading to the mountains tomorrow—hoping the burgers, hot dogs, and pizza there are better! 🏔️🍔 #Food #LasVegas #VegasFood #VegasTravel #VegasFun #VegasEats
