First Meal in NYC for My Parents! A Wok-Hei Loaded Rice Noodle Bowl 🍝
Right after landing in New York, my parents were a bit motion sick and craving something bold and flavorful. Since we were transferring through the WTC PATH station, I looked for nearby spots and stumbled upon a new location of Silky Kitchen! 🍴 Silky Kitchen 📍 12 John St, New York, NY I’m no stranger to them—they have another branch near Tandon in BK Downtown. We ordered three mains: 🔥 Stir-Fried Beef with Rice Noodles – Their signature dish! Loaded with cumin flavor and packed with wok hei. 🌶️ Pickled Pepper Chicken Gizzard with Rice – Tangy, spicy, with crunchy pickled long beans—super appetizing! The gizzards were chewy and well-seasoned. 🐟 Sour Soup Fish with Noodles – A happy surprise for me! Tender, thick fish slices in a light yet flavorful sour broth—highly recommend. For sides, we got marinated beef tripe and wood ear mushroom salad—both generous portions, even better with a dash of vinegar! We also added stir-fried cured pork with radish—my mom said the tasted just like home! The radish was crispy, and the garlic chives soaked up all the savory goodness. Overall, Silky Kitchen hits the spot when you’re craving stir-fried noodles or homestyle wok dishes. Every bowl is made to order with generous portions of meat—I finished the noodles but still had toppings left! I also noticed they’re on 🍙 Fantuan with a $10 off promo—perfect for picking up after work! #FoodieLife #NYCExploration #NYCFood #NYC #FantuanDelivers #FantuanNYC #EatWithTuan #SilkyKitchen #SilkyKitchenNYC #NYCStudent #NYCLife #NYCWorkLife #StudentFoodie #StirFriedNoodles #ComfortFoodNYC
