Silky Kitchen is a hidden gem that brings a refreshing twist to modern Asian cuisine. From the moment you step in, you’re greeted by a stylish, sleek interior that blends industrial design with cozy touches. The atmosphere is lively but not overly loud, making it a perfect spot for both intimate dinners and group gatherings.
We started with the crispy dumplings filled with savory pork and vegetables, and they were absolutely delicious—crispy on the outside, soft and flavorful on the inside. Next, we had the silk chili shrimp, which was one of the standout dishes. The shrimp were perfectly cooked, with a spicy and tangy sauce that had the right amount of heat and sweetness. We also tried the stir-fried noodles, which were packed with flavor, full of fresh vegetables, and had just the right amount of wok char.
For the main course, I had the braised short ribs, and it was melt-in-your-mouth tender. The sauce was rich and flavorful, and the dish was accompanied by fragrant jasmine rice. My dining partner had the black pepper chicken, which was spicy, savory, and absolutely satisfying.
The drink menu is a great complement to the food, with a selection of craft cocktails and creative twists on classic drinks. The staff at Silky Kitchen were attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, making our dining experience even more enjoyable.
Overall, Silky Kitchen offers a great combination of delicious food, a modern atmosphere, and fantastic service. Whether you’re in the mood for a casual meal or something more special, this place ticks all the boxes. I’ll definitely be...
Read morealr this is not a dine in experience but i think it speaks to the terrible service they have. ordered pick up on uber earlier today and came to pick it up 20 minutes later. normally i would expect the food to be ready by then but when i got to the place i was told they still need a few minutes getting it ready. i was like ok maybe they are busy today but its not. it was that they haven’t started making my food yet! why would u wait until i got here to make the food? normally when ppl place takeout order online they would expect the restaurants to make the food when they get the order so they can pick it up when they get to the place. but why would u wait 20 minutes before making my food? that’s my first grievance. i got patience and told them to make it quick. waited for another 10 minutes or so before i asked again and they told me they would let me know when its ready. but guess what? they didn’t. saw them place a few takeout orders on the counter but i didn’t know one of them was mine because they didn’t tell me right? another 10 minutes passed and i still didn’t have my food and came to ask them again. and they told me oh it has been ready for a while?? why not tell me my food was ready and had me waiting all these time??? i waited for another 10 minutes or so after my food was ready but no one told me that? that’s some terrible service and communication. the food was good as usual but their lack of communication pissed me off. it was like they didn’t me how to do this job. really...
Read moreIf you’re in the mood for authentic Hunan food at good prices, this is where you need to be.
Whether you’re in the mood for soup noodles, dried noodles, or rice - you won’t be disappointed.
Start your meal with yummy Hunan fried tofu, crispy, yet soft and delicious - or opt for beef tripe salad (beware, if you’re not a fan or cilantro this dish is not for you). And don’t let it scare you, my husband is usually not a fan of entrails but he looooved this one.
Pick your dumpling - cause you can’t leave without trying them. My favorites are the pork chive and shrimp, and their vegetarian version (which slightly won me over the meat filled ones), and proceeds to pick your main.
I definitely would recommend the dry noodles topped with spicy squid (or rice - as I’m sure it’d be a perfect combo) and the pork and pepper with noodles. If you’re not in the mood for spicy go for mild, and know that medium spice is pretty warm Already so order accordingly!
Once you’re all done slurping your noods, why not got for a refreshing dessert? They have two you can choose from (at least as of now); flower jelly and sweet rice cakes. Which one would you pick?
I’ll definitely be back for more...
